Why much of what you heard about residential school graves is wrong

National Post: 'There were no “mass graves.” There was no evidence of mass murder. There is no evidence the graves were deliberately concealed. And in several cases, First Nations explicitly stressed that radar surveys were likely turning up graves without any immediate links to nearby residential school sites.

'...One of the more widely circulated images from last summer was Prime Minister Justin Trudeau kneeling at the suspected site of more than 751 unmarked graves located near the former site of Marieval Indian Residential School. What wasn’t immediately apparent from the photo, however, was that Trudeau was kneeling in a clearing that was quite obviously within a larger cemetery of mostly marked graves.'
